New Feature: Sunday Stories!!!

So yesterday I got the brilliant idea to start a new feature on this blog. Hannah was the one to give me the idea, actually. You see, when I was in middle school, I was very into writing short stories. I must have a couple dozen in various notebooks and Microsoft Word files. One thing I did occasionally was write fairy tales for Hannah. If I was bored, or if she did something nice for me and I wanted to give her a gift in return, I’d write her a fairy tale. Or some other short story. Whatever the case, she liked them a lot.

Anyway, yesterday afternoon Hannah and I were talking about some of the old stories I used to write and I got one of my really old notebooks out and read one of my old fairytales aloud while we munched on carrots. We cracked up every two minutes at something overly dramatic or ironic or sarcastic I wrote and decided it would be fun to share some of the old stories on the blog!

Hence my new feature… Sunday Stories!

Here’s how it’s going to work: Every Sunday afternoon I’m going to post a section of one of my old short stories or novellas. If it’s really short, I’ll give you the whole thing in one post. If it’s a little lengthier, we’ll just break it up and do a little section each week. Given my poor pre-teen writing skills, it will probably provide you with plenty of humor! 😉

So I’ll post the first story tomorrow afternoon. Or at least the prologue section. I’ll give a little bit of background, and then let you all read it for yourselves in its original, unedited context! 😉 You’ll have to let me know what you think and whether or not you like this new feature! If everyone totally hates reading my old stories, I don’t have to post them. I just thought they’d be good for a chuckle.

Looking forward to it! I pulled out my old *novels* the other day, with my little sister, and we both nearly fell off the bed we laughed so hard. And I thought they were so epic back then… 😉
